Derek Chen
Jiangming Chen is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Technical Director of Techemer Composites (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. He was selected as an Entrepreneurial Talent under the Guangzhou “Hundred Talents Program for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Leading Talents.”
Mr. Chen graduated from the Department of Chemistry at Xiamen University. He subsequently pursued graduate studies in Canada and was awarded a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering by the University of Ottawa.
With extensive experience in the synthesis and processing of polymer materials, Mr. Chen has long specialized in the development of advanced composite materials and the functionalization of polymers. He began his career at Formosa Plastics Group in China and subsequently held technical positions at Doelken-Woodtape Ltd. and the Polymer Processing Center at McMaster University in Canada, gaining valuable international engineering and R&D experience.
In 2008, Mr. Chen returned to China and established Techemer Composites (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. Under his leadership, the company has focused on the development, application, and industrialization of eco-friendly elastomeric polymer bearing technologies, which meet internationally advanced standards. These innovations enable oil-free, fluid-lubricated self-lubrication for marine vessels, clean energy power generation equipment, pumps, and other hydraulic machinery—providing a sustainable alternative to conventional lubrication systems and effectively addressing major environmental challenges associated with oil leakage and discharge.
