INDRON®PREM – High Performance Elastomeric Polymer Bearing Material
INDRON®PREM is an upgraded elastomeric polymer bearing material developed based on the proven TSTN formulation. Designed specifically for demanding applications, PREM significantly improved compressive strength and bearing load capacity, making it ideal for use in horizontal or inclined shafts, and delivering enhanced performance for vertical pump installations.
Key Advantages :
With an integral dynamic bearing surface pressure rating of no less than 12 MPa, and compressive hardness exceeding 38 MPa, INDRON®PREM delivers reliable performance under heavy loads.
PREM is engineered to provide greater resistance to compression compared to TSTN, improving operational stability and extending service life in harsh working environments.
Especially suitable for horizontal and inclined shafts, where PREM excels by promoting hydrodynamic lubrication even at low speeds, thanks to improvements in groove design. This leads to:
● Reduced startup torque
● Lower dynamic and static friction
The bearing length-to-diameter (L/D) ratio can be reduced from the traditional 2–4 to as low as 1–2, allowing for more compact bearing assemblies without compromising performance.
Compared to TSTN, PREM demonstrates superior results on vertical shaft applications, where consistent load distribution and reduced wear are critical.
