Product Description
INDRON® UNIV is used as Guide Vane, connecting-Rod and Regulating Ring Bushings. Compared with regular copper-based mosaic graphite bearings, INDRON® guide-vane, connecting-rod and regulating-ring bearings have larger contact area and no lubricating oil is required.
Themetal-based cladding can effectively protect shaft necks from wear and tear. lNDRON® guide-vane,connecting-rod and regulating-ring bearings can effectively cushion the vibration resulting from opening and closing of a guide vane and avoid cracking upon impacts.
Key Advantages
Outstanding Mechanical Properties
● Tensile Strength (53 MPa): The highest among all materials, demonstrating excellent performance under tensile loads.
● Compressive Strength (50.6 MPa): Also the highest, making it suitable for applications requiring high structural support.
● Compression Modulus (1000 MPa): The highest compression modulus further enhances its stability under stress.
Balanced Hardness and Toughness
● Shore Hardness (75~83°): Higher than TSTN, providing a balanced combination of wear resistance and flexibility
● Notched Impact Strength (70 kJ/㎡): Relatively high impact strength, showcasing good toughness.
Low Water Absorption
● Saturated Water Absorption (1%) and Long-Term Water Absorption (0.9%): Low water absorption ensures stable performance in humid environments, outperforming TSTN and hRBR in this aspect.
Superior Load-Bearing Capacity
● Maximum Load Capacity under Low-Speed Oscillation (55 MPa): Significantly higher than other materials.
● Maximum Load Capacity for Continuous Operation (30 MPa): Ensures reliability during long-term use.
Excellent Wear Resistance
● Relative Volume Wear (215 mm³): Although slightly less competitive in this metric, it strikes a good balance between hardness and wear resistance.
● Dynamic Friction Coefficient (0.05~0.15 in water): Exhibits excellent friction performance in water, reducing wear and tear.
Wide Temperature Adaptability
● Maximum Operating Temperature (110°C in dry conditions, 70°C in water): Suitable for various industrial environments, including high-temperature applications.
So, UNIV material stands out for its high strength, low water absorption, moderate hardness, and excellent wear resistance, making it ideal for complex applications with high loads and fluctuating humidity. Particularly, its outstanding tensile and compressive performance makes it well-suited for environments demanding high mechanical strength and long-term stability.

Our laboratory is equipped with advanced material performance testing and analysis instruments, allowing us to strictly control every detail of product design and production, ensuring superior product quality. INDRON® bearings, seals, and gaskets are more durable than ordinary bearing materials under various conditions, including dry friction, water lubrication (clean water or water containing sand and mud), non-lubrication, grease lubrication, and even under impact load conditions.
Applications
INDRON® UNIV is utilized for Guide Vane, Connecting Rod, and Regulating Ring Bushings. Compared to traditional copper-based mosaic graphite bearings, INDRON® bearings offer a larger contact area and eliminate the need for lubricating oil. The metal-based cladding provides effective protection for shaft necks, reducing wear and tear. Additionally, INDRON® Guide Vane, Connecting Rod, and Regulating Ring Bushings efficiently absorb vibrations caused by the opening and closing of guide vanes, minimizing the risk of cracking under impact.
